This map owes a debt to a few creative people: First and foremost, Than, for his great Q2 level, "Pretend Best Friend" (ktdm4) which I used as a base for this level. I enjoyed his map a great deal back in the Q2 days, and decided it needed a reincarnation. I hope I did it justice. This level is probably about a third again as big, but I think it still captures the same tight, in-your-face feel that the original had.
The second major contributor is Mr. Clean who supplied the great textures that are used on most of the map. It took me quite a while to decide on textures for this map, and these fit the bill very well indeed.
Additional thanks to Kat for the rock textures, Yogi for the weapon marker texture, and Quint for the tele-flare texture and shader!
Finally, I wanted to thank ydnar publicly once again for the outstanding work that he has done on the q3map compiler. The cool detailed shadows on this map (for one thing) would not have been possible without his hard work. He 0wns.
DESCRIPTION: I like this map. Yeah, yeah, I know, I should be able to say that about any of my maps, but this one, to me, has a charm all it's own. It's a tight, evil, nasty little map that takes some of the qualities of my first Quake 3 map, Hot and Moist, and cranks them up a notch or two. Once again, although the map is quite playable and fun with regular Q3, it plays even better with CPM, simply because the changes that this great mod incorperate make Q3 more strategic, more fun, and more intense. If you haven't checked it out, I highly recommend doing so.
WEAPON/ITEM LOAD: Rocket Launcher, Shotgun, Grenade Launcher, Railgun, Lightning Gun, Body Armor, Combat Armor, Megahealth, and (if you're playing CPM like you should) Jacket Armor. Ammo for each weapon except Railgun, and various health and shards.
